Compare Valencia carsEach figure is a typical day rate for that class on a week’s hire. Premium cars and convertibles come in small numbers, so their figure can move more from one week to the next.
Valencia cars are handed over at the airport, at a city rental office, or delivered. Your voucher gives the exact place and the company’s contact number.
A local company hands the car over at the point given on your voucher, not at the airport’s own rental desks. Note its number before you fly.
A few cars are collected at a rental office in the city. Some office cars accept the deposit in cash; the car page lists the methods.
Delivery brings the car to your address, for a charge shown in the price. It can suit a stay that is far from the airport.
Arriving by air? Car hire at Valencia Airport lets you drive off the day you land.
Some Valencia cars accept a cash deposit, and none asks for a credit card. The car page shows which methods work for the deposit and the balance.
The deposit and the balance each have their own payment methods on the car, so read both lines before you book.
Every Valencia car holds a deposit. Further south, a few Alicante Airport cars are offered as car rental in Spain with no deposit.
Travelling without a credit card? Valencia’s cars are among the cars in Spain that need no credit card, though each one still holds a deposit.
Tolls, parking and fines during the rental are paid by you. Keep to paved public roads; unsurfaced tracks are outside the terms.
Flash floods can disrupt travel in Spain. Check the AEMET weather warnings before a long drive.
Police can fine you on the spot, including for speeding. Paying within 20 days cuts the fine by half.
Exit from the outer lane unless markings allow another. If you are in the wrong lane, circle again rather than cross in front of other cars.
Using a phone at the wheel is illegal, and so are earpieces. Pull fully off the road before you make a call.
Everyone wears a seat belt. Children 135 cm tall or under ride in a child restraint, in the back seats with a few exceptions.
Outside towns the limit is 90 km/h, and 120 on motorways, unless signs say otherwise.
Some Valencia cars can be returned in another city. Set the return place when you search, and the price includes the one-way charge.
Barcelona returns are at El Prat Airport or a delivery address in the city. Allow for the long drive north.
Most Alicante returns are at the airport, with delivery to an address on some cars. It is an easy way to finish on the Costa Blanca.
Madrid returns can be at Barajas Airport, Atocha station or an address. Compare the total, as the one-way charge varies.
From Plaça de l’Ajuntament: El Palmar, about 30 min for 21.3 km; Sagunt, about 35 min for 30.1 km; Xàtiva, about 55 min for 63.4 km; Dénia, about 1 h 30 min for 106.8 km; Benidorm, about 1 h 45 min for 141.5 km; Peníscola, about 2 h for 146.4 km.
Times start at the town hall square and assume clear roads, with no stops.
Barcelona lies a long drive up the coast, and car hire in Barcelona can be the end point of a one-way trip.
Each bar shows the typical day rate for a week’s hire starting mid-month.
Weekly hires begin on the 15th, from November 2026 until October 2027; months with N/A had no cars listed.
Valencia has cars from four seats up to nine. Add extras such as child seats during booking.
Seven-seat cars and nine-seat vans are listed for larger groups. Check how much luggage still fits once every seat is taken.
Seats for babies under one, child seats and boosters can be added. On some cars these extras cost nothing, while others charge.
Add a second driver at booking; on some cars it costs nothing. Each driver must meet that car’s age and licence rules.
Automatic and manual cars are both listed at the airport. Filter by gearbox to narrow the choice quickly.
Every car shows its cover levels with the excess for each, and higher cover can reduce the deposit. Compare the two on the same car.
Excluded parts. Standard insurance does not pay for damage to the wheels, underbody, windscreen or interior.
Incident steps. Tell the rental company at once and get a police report, unless the company agrees another way; skipping this cancels your cover.
No cover for misuse. Neglect, vandalism and deliberate damage void the insurance at every level.
Excess first. Your damage cover and excess set what a scratch or dent could cost you, so compare them before the price.
Show your original national licence, in Latin script and valid until you return the car. No copies or digital licences.
If your licence only works in the country that issued it, bring an International Driving Permit too, and show it when the company asks.
Each car sets a minimum age and years of driving. Two similar cars can set different limits, and the company may refuse a driver who falls short.
Match the fuel level you were given at pickup. Tell the company ahead of time if you want to keep the car longer.
Some Valencia cars list an entry permission for Portugal, or for France and Andorra. Tell the company in advance so it can prepare the papers.
Where a car offers the permission, its price shows before booking, and on some cars it costs nothing. Agree the route with the company before you cross.
Most Valencia cars include a cancellation option up to 24 hours before pickup. Check that your car has it before you rely on it.
The deadline is 7 days before pickup, or 30 days for luxury cars and convertibles. Late cancellation or a no-show means the advance is not refunded.
Cancel by email to support, attaching the voucher. Refunds arrive within 14 days, less a 6% payment fee; changing dates means cancelling and rebooking.
Not every car can be collected at night, and some charge extra for it. Search with the time you will actually reach the meeting point.
Some Valencia cars cap the kilometres per day and others do not. The allowance is on each car, so check it before a long drive.
In 24-hour blocks. Collecting at 10 am and returning at 2 pm the next day is charged as two days.
The rental company. Its contact details come in the email sent after booking.
Small pets can travel if they stay in a carrier the whole time.
Pick the airport, the city office or delivery, enter your dates and compare each car’s deposit and cover.
