Car hire at Seville Airport

Hire from local companies at SVQ. No car listed here asks for a credit card, and each shows its deposit, its cover and any kilometre cap before you pay.

Cheap car rental at Seville Airport

Six weekly totals for cars picked up and dropped off at SVQ, lowest first. None of them asks for a credit card.

Which size should you choose?

The six deals above sit well under the usual economy rate, so sorting by price pays off before you settle on a class. No premium cars were offered, and the convertible figure rests on two cars.

As elsewhere in Spain, every car belongs to a local firm with its own deposit and kilometre rules.

Where do you meet the company at Seville Airport?

Check the voucher for the company name, the meeting point and a contact number before you board.

Shuttle to the cars

For the cheapest cars, staff meet you and run you to their car park by shuttle bus. The voucher tells you where to stand.

Evening arrivals

A handover after dark is not offered on every car, and a few charge more for it. Searching with the real landing hour shows which.

The walk-round

Inspect the paintwork with the agent, make sure each dent is on the form, and check the fuel level you will have to match.

Spending the first days in the city, about 20 minutes away? Car hire in Seville adds delivery to an address, with the delivery charge already in the price.

Seville Airport guide: services and parking

Driver notes for landing at or flying home from Sevilla Airport.

Collecting and returning your car

  2. Supplier contact If the flight runs late, ring the company and keep your phone on.
  3. Return arrangements Ask where and when the car goes back, and record its condition at pickup.
Stay reachable Keep your booking phone on from the day before pickup to the end of the rental, and check its country code.

Driving away from the airport

  1. Phone at the wheel Illegal to use while driving, even pulled over, unless you are fully off the road.
  2. Speed limits Motorways 120 km/h; other roads outside towns 90.
  3. Lane signals A red X shuts a lane; flashing amber calls for extreme caution.
Roadside checks Police regularly stop drivers for alcohol and drug tests, so plan the first drive without a drink.

Do you need a credit card to rent a car at Seville Airport?

No: every car at the airport works without one. Each still holds a deposit, shown with the way it is taken and refunded.

Not neededNo car here asks for a credit card
€100 to €1,100Deposit held at pickup
15 to 20%Paid online to book
At pickupThe rest, paid to the company

That makes SVQ one of the simplest starts for cars in Spain that need no credit card. How the deposit and the balance are paid is spelled out on the voucher.

Every car here holds a deposit; cars with none turn up at the two Tenerife airports, where you can look for car rental in Spain with no deposit.

Road essentials for Andalusia

Traffic direction

Spain drives on the right. Follow the posted limits, which change between motorways, main roads and towns.

Leaving roundabouts

Use the outer right-hand lane to leave a roundabout unless signs say otherwise; go around again if you cannot reach it safely.

Breakdown equipment

Spanish law asks for a reflective vest and, on cars registered in Spain, a connected V-16 light. Look for both at pickup.

Incident reporting

Damage or a crash? Phone the company straight away and get a police report unless it says otherwise, or the cover can be lost.

Leaving Seville Airport for your accommodation

Set the navigation to your accommodation’s vehicle entrance, which may differ from its postal address.

From the airport: Seville, about 20 min; Carmona, about 25 min; Jerez, about 1 h 30 min; Córdoba, about 1 h 45 min; Cádiz, about 1 h 45 min.

Expect longer than these clear-road times once traffic or stops are added; the city figure ends by the Torre del Oro. The Jerez and Cádiz routes run on the AP-4, so check whether that stretch charges a toll.

Fuel, parking and tolls

Fuel, parking, fines and tolls are yours to pay during the rental, so budget for them on top of the hire price.

Driving abroad

Planning a trip into Portugal? Tell the company before you book so it can prepare the documents, and check that your car allows it.

Can you return a Seville Airport car somewhere else?

Some Seville Airport cars can be returned at Malaga or Alicante Airport, or in Madrid. Choose the return place in the search; the one-way charge is in the price you see.

Choose both places

Search with Seville Airport as pickup and your return place, then pick from the pairs that come up.

Check the total

The one-way charge differs from car to car, so compare totals with the return place selected.

Confirm the return

Ask where the car goes back at the far end, and keep time for the check before your flight.

Ending the trip at Malaga Airport or Madrid Airport? The return directions for that end come with the booking.

Comparing dates across the seasons

Each bar shows the going day rate for a week’s hire starting on the 15th. May comes out as the dearest month here.

N/A means no car is available for the dates used in that month.

Drivers, child seats and luggage

Second driver

Sharing the wheel costs extra on the cheapest SVQ cars. Add the person at booking; their age and licence must fit the car.

Child seats

Book child seats with the car, each at its own price, and buckle one in before the first drive.

Bags and seats

Seat everyone, then see what boot space is left. A pushchair counts as luggage.

Small pets

Small animals may come along if they travel in a carrier. Plan where it will sit.

Insurance and excess on Seville hire cars

Every listing shows its cover levels with the excess and deposit attached to each. Read them before adding protection.

Minimum coverageIncluded as standard
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Damage to your hire car (not included)
Basic coverage
  • Limited collision cover (CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Glass and tyre damage (not included)
Full Coverage
  • Limited driver liability (Super CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
Full Coverage Plus
  • Full damage cover (included)
  • No driver liability for accident damage (included)

Zero excess on the cheapest cars. Basic cover with nothing to pay towards damage comes on all six deals above, though a deposit is still held.

Excess and deposit differ. The excess is the most you pay towards damage; the deposit is the sum blocked at the start to secure it.

Parts left out. Wheels, underside, glass and interior fall outside standard cover, and careless or deliberate damage voids every one of the cover levels.

Licence and age checks

Show the original national licence at pickup, with Latin-script details and valid to the end of the rental. Copies are refused.

International permit

If your licence only counts in the country that issued it, add an International Driving Permit; it is strongly recommended.

Age and experience

The minimum age and years behind the wheel are set per car and differ even between lookalike models.

Fuel and cleaning at the end of the hire

Bring the tank back to its starting level and the car back clean enough for the inspection.

Fuel at return

  • The company bills any missing fuel at its own rate and pays nothing for a fuller tank.

Vehicle condition

  • Dirt that stops the inspection leads to a wash charged to you.

Cancelling a Seville Airport booking

All six deals here include a 24-hour cancellation option at no extra charge. Look for it on the car you choose.

Without that option

The cut-off is one week before pickup, or thirty days on luxury models and convertibles. After it, or after a no-show, the advance stays with the company.

Refunds and changes

Send a cancellation email with the voucher attached. Refunds land within 14 days, net of a 6% payment fee; for new dates, rebook.

Seville Airport car rental questions

Do I need a credit card to rent a car at Seville Airport?

None of the SVQ cars requires one. A deposit is still taken, by the method shown on the car.

Do Seville hire cars have a mileage limit?

Some do, the cheapest ones above among them, and extra kilometres are charged. Others have no cap. The allowance shows on each car.

Can I keep the car longer than booked?

Tell the company in advance, before the rental ends. Each 24 hours counts as a day, and part of a day is charged in full.

Can I collect the car late at night?

Night handovers are limited, and some cars carry a surcharge. Search with your true arrival time for the real choice.

Can someone else drive the car?

Yes, when named on the booking. The cheapest SVQ cars charge for an extra driver, who must meet the same limits.
