from €40 a daySaranda has economy, standard, SUV, van, convertible and premium cars. Open a car to check its seats, gearbox and pickup place.
Have the car delivered to your Saranda accommodation or pick it up from a rental office. Your voucher gives the company details and handover instructions.
Enter your full Saranda address and meeting time. Any delivery charge is in the price.
You need the office’s exact address. Check your voucher or call the company before you set off.
Add your country code and stay reachable from the day before pickup until return. Tell the company about any changes.
Saranda Port is a return place on some one-way rentals from Tirana, not a pickup point for these cars. Pickup in Ksamil is not offered here; check your delivery address is accepted before you book.
You can pick up a Saranda car without a credit card. Some cars need no deposit and others take a cash deposit, so check both.
Deposit is refundable security. No credit card does not always mean no deposit. The offer for your car shows how much it is and how you can pay it.
The hire balance is separate. Paying the deposit in cash is one thing; paying the balance in cash is another. Check both before you travel.
You put down 15 to 20% when you book and hand the company the rest when you collect. A deposit, if there is one, comes on top of that balance.
Where a credit card is required, it has to be the main driver’s own card, physical and embossed. Debit cards count only when the booking and voucher say so, and they too must carry your name in raised letters.
Delivered cars and office cars can have different terms, even for a similar model, so check the car you book.
These drives start at Tirana Airport, well north of Saranda. Use them to plan your arrival; local trips start from where you stay.

Ksamil, past Sarandë, is about 4 h 30 min from Tirana Airport; Gjirokastër is about 3 h 30 min and Himarë about 3 h 45 min.
From Skanderbeg Square in central Tirana, Saranda also takes about four hours and fifteen minutes on clear roads. Summer traffic and stops add time, and so does picking up the car.
Not every Saranda car has unlimited kilometres; some carry a daily cap. Look at it before planning several long trips, as a bigger car or more cover will not lift it.
A delivered car comes without a parking space, so plan where to leave it. You pay any parking charges and fines.
Check with your hotel or host where the delivery driver can stop and where the car can sit overnight. Do not block an entrance; office pickup does not give you parking at your hotel.
In Saranda, follow the signs on the street or in the car park. Tirana’s parking zones and prices do not apply here.
For beach parking, stay on paved roads; unpaved beach tracks are not allowed.
From Tirana, the inland route follows the SH4, then the SH83 towards Saranda. Near the coast, follow local road signs and access rules.
Building work on the bypass near Shën Vasil has meant traffic control. Check for roadworks and follow the signs on the day.
The road into Ksamil has been widened, but it can still be busy in summer. Allow time for traffic and parking.
The inland route from Tirana is not the Riviera road through Vlorë and Himarë. The airport to Saranda time is for the inland route only; coastal detours take longer.
The route from Tirana Airport to Dhërmi uses the Llogara Tunnel, not the mountain pass. Driving over the pass takes extra time, so allow for daylight.
Keep to paved public roads. Beach tracks without tarmac are off limits, SUV or not, so park where the tarmac ends and walk the rest.
Roads outside towns have no street lights, and power cuts can affect lights in towns too. Look out for roadworks without signs, potholes and vehicles with no lights, and be careful about a long drive south after a late arrival.
Yes, some one-way rentals start at Tirana Airport or with car hire in Tirana by delivery, and finish in Saranda. Choose both ends before you compare prices.

Choose Himarë as your return place when you search.
Choose the Saranda address, office or port return when you book.
Tirana to Saranda does not mean Saranda to Tirana is offered too. Choose the exact return place, including delivery in Himarë where offered. A port return is only a handover point; it does not let you leave the car abroad.
Prices are for a week starting mid-month, from November 2026 to October 2027. N/A means there is no price for that month yet.
Typical daily prices for a week in Saranda. Your total depends on the car, pickup place and extras.
Use the chart to judge when to go, not as a quote. Delivery to your address and office pickup are priced differently.
September and October have no price yet, which is why they show N/A. You can still rent then, and the car is not free.
Rental days run in blocks of 24 hours. Collect one morning and bring the car back the following afternoon, and that is charged as two days.
Saranda has manual and automatic cars, including some with seven or more seats. Choose the gearbox and seats your group needs first.
Saranda has both manuals and automatics. Decide which you want first, then make sure the offer shows it.
Some Saranda cars offer child seats and boosters. Add them and any extra driver when you book.
Set a pickup time that fits your family’s arrival, and book any child seats with the car so they are ready.
Any second driver needs to meet the age and licence rules too. Check first, since two similar cars can set different limits.
Minimum cover (TPL) comes with every booking. Look at the higher levels and what damage would still cost you on your car.
Not covered. Standard cover leaves out the interior, windscreen, wheels and underside. You lose cover for deliberate damage, neglect or driving on banned roads such as unpaved beach tracks.
Full Coverage Plus. On some delivered cars you can take Full Coverage Plus and pay nothing towards covered accident damage. Theft cover is extra.
Deposit and excess. Some cars ask for no deposit whatever level you pick; on others, more cover changes the deposit.
After an accident. Ring the company at once and get a police report unless told otherwise. Without it, the loss is yours to pay.
Compare the four cover levels with your car’s own terms. The deposit is held and returned; the excess is your share of covered damage.
Before you pay, check the car’s age and experience rules against your own.
Your original national licence must be in Latin script and still valid when you hand the car back. Copies and digital licences will not do.
Licence only valid at home? Bring an International Driving Permit as well; it is strongly advised, and you may be asked for it.
For a longer trip, read which roads are allowed. Fuel, tolls and fines are yours to pay.
A trip into Greece is a paid extra on some Saranda cars. Let the company know before you leave Albania so the papers are ready.
Whether a car may go abroad depends on the car and the country, and a standard booking does not include it. Adding a Greece trip does not let you drop the car off abroad, so agree the trip with the company first.
Give seven days’ notice to cancel, or thirty for convertibles and luxury cars. Cars with the cancellation option can be cancelled up to 24 hours ahead.
Send your cancellation by email with the voucher attached. The money normally goes back to your paying account within fourteen days, less 6% for payment fees.
Cancel or change too late, or fail to turn up without warning the company, and the advance is lost. A change works as a cancellation followed by a new booking.
Ask the company before you are due back, and stick to the booked return time until it says yes.
Small pets can come along, as long as they ride in a carrier the whole way.
The company has to find you a car of the same class or better, on the same price and terms, if a breakdown or force majeure leaves it without yours.
Yes. Either of you can call it off within a day of confirmation and paying the advance, as long as the other is told before pickup. You get the advance back less the payment-service fee.
The rental company, using the details in your confirmation email. This includes cars delivered to a Saranda address.
Pick delivery or an office in Saranda, check the payment and cover terms, then book the right car for your group and the drive south.
