The six cheapest this week all start at Mauritius Airport (MRU), with no delivery included; town delivery is in the search too.

Compare Flic en Flac vehiclesSmall automatics and seven-seat cars are on offer, and not every premium car is automatic. Check the gearbox, boot space and similar-model rule on each car.
Meet the company at your Flic en Flac address. A representative comes to you at the agreed time; there is no branch at the property.
Give your hotel or apartment address and confirm the entrance. A property name alone may not be enough.
Check the price covers both bringing and collecting the car. One delivery charge may not be the full cost.
Choose airport pickup to drive away after landing, then drive yourself to the west coast.
Having the car delivered later? Arrange your airport transfer separately. Make sure your phone, country code included, can be reached a day ahead of pickup and right through the rental.
At handover, check the condition, fuel and return details. For an airport pickup, your voucher gives the meeting point and the company’s phone number.
The advance counts towards your rental. Deposits are separate and vary by car, so check the amount and payment method before booking.
Some delivered deals need no deposit, while others hold one. Check the car you choose rather than going by its model name. Filter the search by deposit to see the cars with no deposit.
An online advance of 15 to 20% secures the car, and the remainder goes to the company at pickup. Rent you have already paid does not count towards the deposit.
Each payment can have its own methods. If a card is required, the named main driver brings it in person, physical and embossed; debit needs approval on your offer and voucher. Ask about deposit return times if they matter to your budget.
Allow about forty-five minutes from the airport to Flic en Flac on clear roads. All six drives start at the airport, not between beaches.

The route follows the M1 for most of the way, then the B130 and B34 to the coast. Timing starts at the airport pickup point, not when you land, so allow for the handover.
Tamarin shares part of this route before the A3. Chamarel uses inland B roads, and hill driving can be slower than the estimate. Do not subtract airport times to guess a drive between towns.
From Grand Baie, Flic en Flac is about 48.6 km and fifty minutes via the M2, A1, A3 and B34. Give the right starting point when agreeing a meeting time.
Stay on paved public roads on every trip. Your sat nav does not change the rental rules, even in an SUV.
Check parking and entrance access with your host before delivery. Delivery comes without parking, and you pay any parking charges or fines.
After a day out, leave time to refuel, unload and for the car check. Call the company if traffic or weather may make you late; the rental is not extended without agreement.
There are fixed speed cameras in Flic en Flac, Tamarin and Black River. Follow the signs and drive to the conditions.
Car limits run from 110 km/h on M roads down to 80 on A roads, with 60 the most on B roads. A lower posted limit always wins.
Keep left and let cars from the right go first at roundabouts. Know your exit before you join.
Phones are banned while driving, even hands-free. Set your route before you go and stop safely to call the company or your hotel.
Expect people on foot and bikes, motorways included, by day or night, plus slow unlit motorbikes. Leave plenty of room.
A speed camera notice can be paid at a district court within twenty-eight days. If the owner was not driving, Part B must be filled in within fourteen days. Contact the company if a notice is unclear.
Floods, and cyclones rated category three or more, rule out driving, and damage in them is uninsured. Class III on official warnings uses its own scale, so keep up with weather updates.
Some bookings let you collect at the airport, then hand back in Flic en Flac. Enter both places first; delivery bookings are priced differently.

Give the exact address and agree the return time.
Compare the airport-to-town total, not the delivery deals.
A new return property needs the company’s approval. Search the town-to-airport direction on its own; an airport-to-Flic-en-Flac offer says nothing about the reverse trip.
Each month uses a seven-day rental starting on the 15th. Treat the class figures as a guide; your car and handover set the price.
N/A: no price listed for that month.
Use the same hours when you compare dates. Each 24 hours is charged, and any extra part-day adds a full day, so moving the return time can change the total.
Cyclone season runs from November into May. A cheaper month does not change the flood and cyclone rules, so check warnings before pickup and talk to the company named on your voucher.
Check seats, bags and any child seats before choosing a model. The car must fit everyone for later trips and the drive back.
Some delivered cars seat seven. Check how much luggage fits with every seat taken before relying on one for a group with big cases.
Add the right child seat from your car’s extras. Before you drive off with children, inspect the seat supplied and its installation.
Put other drivers on the booking before they take the wheel. Each must meet that car’s conditions; a licence in your pocket does not count.
Read whether the offer names one model or permits a substitute. Tell the company which seats you need in case another car comes.
Check your car’s own cover. The deposit, the accident excess and what is excluded are separate things, even on a no-deposit deal.
No deposit, but still an excess. Even a no-deposit deal can leave you with a bill for damage. Look at the cover options before you confirm the car.
Review excluded components. Standard cover leaves out the interior, windscreen, underbody and wheels. Read what any upgrade actually changes.
Meet reporting obligations. Tell the company at once after an incident and obtain the police report too, unless the agent agrees a different route. Missing these steps cancels your insurance.
Restrictions survive an upgrade. Neglect or vandalism cancels cover. Taking the car out in floods, or in cyclones at category three and above, is banned and uninsured, whatever the deposit.
Your car decides the cover levels and amounts. Keep the company’s number for incidents; booking support deals with cancellations and refunds.
Only an original national licence works: Latin script, valid to the end of the hire, and never a copy or digital version.
With a home-only licence, an IDP as well is strongly recommended. Bring your original licence too and produce the permit on request.
Check the driver age and experience the offer asks for. Similar models can set different limits, and pickup may be refused if you fall short.
Have the payment card ready at delivery. Where a credit card is needed, the main driver must show a physical card in their own name, details embossed. Approved debit cards follow the same rules; a phone wallet or a friend’s card will not do.
Agree the return meeting before your last day. Allow time for unloading and the car check, especially if the car is collected from your accommodation.
You cover fuel, parking and fines yourself, on top of the advance and deposit. Read the full Mauritius terms for pickup and return.
Driving is limited to Mauritius, so return the car here before any trip abroad.
Changing your return place in Mauritius does not allow foreign travel, and extra cover does not either. Agree the handback before moving on by other transport.
Check the cancellation rule before you change your trip. The car type and any short-notice option set your deadline.
Ordinary cars: a week’s notice. Convertibles or luxury cars: thirty days. The short-notice option lowers it to twenty-four hours. Late cancelling or an unannounced no-show loses the advance.
To cancel, write to support and include the voucher. You get an eligible refund within fourteen days of the request, less 6% for payment processing.
Switching dates or cars works by cancelling and rebooking. Need the car longer? Agree it with the agent beforehand, because a question on its own leaves the booking as it is.
No. Four are delivered in town and two are airport pickups. The airport prices do not include bringing the car to a Flic en Flac hotel.
You can choose your hours, but the minimum charge is twenty-four hours, and running into a further part-day costs another full day. Put in your real handover times.
Expect delivery instead: the car is brought to the address you agree, not handed over at a hotel desk. Follow the company’s meeting instructions.
Yes, if it is small and travels in a carrier. Keep it in the carrier on every drive, even short ones.
No. Only paved public roads are allowed, whatever the size of the car. A sat nav suggestion does not give you permission.
Pick hotel delivery or airport pickup, see the total price and have your documents ready.
