Your voucher has the meeting instructions and the company’s phone number. Arrangements differ between companies, so follow yours.
Clear passport control, baggage and customs first, then follow your voucher to meet the company. Allow time for these steps.
Check the car, equipment and booking details at the meeting point, and save the company’s contact before driving off.
Keep your booking phone on, with the country code, from the day before pickup. The company may call about the handover.
Choose Tivat Airport as your pickup place, not just Tivat. Town delivery, the Bus Terminal and the airport are different services, even with the same company.
Read your voucher before you travel and call the company if anything is unclear. A local company hands over the car, and the voucher, not a sign in the terminal, says where.
Tell the company if your flight is delayed. If you would rather start without a car, compare delivery in Tivat town later in your stay.
What you find in the terminal, where to leave a car nearby, and road rules to know as you set off in your car rental.
The airport does not own a car park. A public paid car park is next to it.
For a longer stay, agree it with the people who run that car park.
Some Tivat Airport cars need no deposit and some need no credit card. Check both on the car you choose, with its accepted payment methods.
Some airport cars need no deposit; others do. The deposit does not change because you pick up at the airport. Check the amount and how to pay it before you book.
Some cars need a credit card. Others take a cash deposit, and some take the deposit only in cash. The card you pay online with does not decide the deposit method.
If a credit card is needed, bring the main driver’s own physical card with embossed details. Debit only works if the booking and voucher accept it. Pay 15 to 20% online; the rest at pickup, plus any deposit.
Times start at the Tivat Airport pickup point and assume clear roads. Add time for traffic and stops; airport formalities are not included.

Further along the coast, Bar is about ninety minutes away and Ulcinj about two hours; Podgorica centre, inland, is about 105 minutes. The Herceg Novi time uses the Kamenari-Lepetane ferry and leaves out the wait for it.
Coastal traffic can slow you down, especially in summer, so leave a margin if your day ends at a fixed time. Tivat Airport rentals can also end in Herceg Novi.
Your return instructions come from the company. Leave time on the last day for fuel and the car check before your flight.
On your last day, leave time to refuel and for the car check before your flight. Return instructions can differ from pickup, so check them before the last day.
Return the car with the fuel level it had at pickup. Missing fuel is charged at the company’s rate; extra fuel is not refunded. If dirt blocks the inspection, you pay for cleaning.
Parking the car does not end the rental or stop daily charges.
Some Tivat Airport cars can be picked up late at night; others cannot. Enter your real pickup and return times to see the right price.
Cars that accept a 03:00 pickup at Tivat Airport add a charge at both ends of the hire. Compare the total for your own times, not the daytime price.
A car being available does not mean the airport is open. Confirm the meeting with the company and book a time that allows for arrival checks.
Your return time can change the price too. If you fly out early, enter that time from the start.
If your flight or plans change, call the company on the voucher number and agree a new time before you miss the old one.
Drivers under twenty-one may not drive from midnight until 05:00 in Montenegro, and power limits apply to their car too. Ask about a suitable car before you book.
Some airport rentals can end at Podgorica Airport. Choose that return place before you compare prices, so the quote includes the one-way cost.

Search Tivat Airport pickup with Podgorica Airport return for the full price.
Agree any change of return place with the Tivat rental company first.
Podgorica Airport is not the same as the city centre. Some offers add a handover charge, so compare the full price and leave time to refuel and for the car check before your flight.
Each bar is a seven-day Tivat Airport rental starting on the 15th, from November 2026 to October 2027. Months with no prices show N/A.
Airport pickup and return at both ends; check your own times before booking.
The month is only part of the price. The car class, rental length and pickup hour matter too, so enter your flight times to see any out-of-hours charge.
A month marked N/A is not free, and it does not mean no cars. Search your own dates to see what you can book.
Even a short hire is charged as a full day, and returning later than your pickup hour can add a day. Agree any extension with the company first.
Child seats and second drivers depend on the car. Arrange them before your flight so they are ready at pickup.
Book an infant seat, child seat or booster, ask how to fit it, and check it before you drive away from Tivat Airport.
Everyone who will drive must be named on the contract first, and each must meet the car’s age and licence rules.
Check boot space with all passengers and child seats in place. Tell the company about any pushchair or large cases.
Choose a gearbox every driver can use. At pickup, take time to learn the controls and how to reach the company.
Minimum cover is included. Other levels depend on the car, and a higher level does not always remove the deposit.
Some cars keep the same deposit at every cover level, and the higher levels still leave you paying part of any damage.
Some cars need no deposit at any level, though Basic and Full keep a driver contribution. Some offer Full Coverage Plus, which removes both.
Standard cover excludes wheels, interior, underbody and windscreen. Deliberate vandalism or neglect voids the insurance, even with an upgrade.
After an accident or other insured incident, tell the company at once and get a police report unless it agrees otherwise. Skipping these steps voids cover and leaves you paying.
Bring your original national licence, valid for the whole rental and in Latin script. Printouts and electronic copies are not accepted.
If your licence is valid only at home, an IDP is strongly advised. Check the car’s minimum age and licence years before booking.
Under-21s cannot drive from midnight to 05:00. Over 80 kW, they need a passenger licensed in category B for at least five years.
Drive on paved public roads only, even in an SUV. Parking, fuel, fines and tolls are yours to pay.
Pick a border package that covers every country on your trip, and tell the company early. Some packages exclude Albania and Kosovo.
Allow for border queues at Debeli Brijeg; being able to drive there does not give permission to cross. Return the car in Montenegro; on 22 Oct 2026 no car could be returned in Tirana, Shkodër, Dubrovnik or Split.
Cancel at least seven days ahead on standard cars, or thirty days for luxury cars and convertibles. With the cancellation option, 24 hours is enough.
Email your request with the voucher. Refunds take up to fourteen days, and six euros in every hundred are kept for payment processing.
Missing the cancellation or change deadline, or not turning up without warning, loses your advance. To change a booking, cancel it and book again.
No. The airport, hotels and other Tivat places are separate return points. Choose the right one when you book and agree the time with the company; leaving the car in town does not count.
No. A local company hands over the car. Your voucher gives the meeting point and the company’s phone number, so save it before you travel.
Not always. Mileage limits depend on the car. Check the allowance on your car against your planned trips; a bigger car or airport pickup does not guarantee unlimited kilometres.
Small pets are allowed if they travel in a carrier. Bring the carrier for the first drive and keep your pet in it on every trip.
Call the company on your voucher as soon as you know the delay will affect pickup. Agree a new time with them and keep your phone on.
Enter your flight times, compare the full airport price, and choose the deposit and cover that suit your trip.
