Pick up at the Bus Terminal or have the car delivered to your address. Agree the meeting details with the company before pickup.
Pick up at the Bus Terminal in town. Charges vary; some cars take a cash deposit or need none.
Get the car delivered to your Kotor hotel or apartment. Delivery is free or priced in; deposits vary by car.
The Port, Kameija mall and Hotel Forza Mare are also listed. Check your car can be supplied there first.
For delivery, give the full address and property name, and agree a spot where a car can stop. Checking the car and signing may happen away from the guest entrance.
Keep your phone on, with its country code, from the day before pickup until the end of the rental. Tell the company if you will be late.
To drive straight from your flight, book an airport pickup at Tivat or Podgorica instead. A Kotor delivery booking does not include airport pickup.
Kotor Bus Terminal and delivered cars offer options without a credit card. Check how you pay the rental and the deposit, as they can differ.
Some delivered and terminal cars start with no deposit; others need one. Some cars also offer a No deposit extra, which is separate from insurance.
The booking advance is 15 to 20% of the rental cost, and you settle the balance at pickup. Budget for any deposit separately. Some Kotor cars let you pay with a debit card or cash.
If a card is required, bring a physical card embossed with the main driver’s name. Debit cards work only where the car allows them, with the same rules.
Drive times from Tivat Airport (TIV) and Podgorica Airport (TGD) to Kotor, Budva and Bar. Pickup time and traffic come on top.

Tivat is the shorter airport drive into Kotor, on the M-1. Pickup, paperwork and loading bags come first, so a late flight can delay your start.
The drive from Podgorica Airport runs inland towards Cetinje. If your hotel is outside the Old Town, add the last stretch to your plan.
For day trips, the bay road and the Njeguši road are very different drives. Pick the route that suits your car and the weather, and leave time to return.
Arrange parking when you book, especially for delivery to your accommodation. A meeting point is not a parking space, and parking costs are yours.
Benovo is a municipal car park in Kotor. Check the price and rules on arrival; a pickup or delivery charge does not cover parking there.
If you pick up early but check in later, agree where to leave the car in between. Do not assume it can stay at the pickup point.
A van fits more people but can be harder to park. Ask your host if the entrance and space suit a larger car before you book one.
The R-1 climbs from Kotor to Krstac and Njeguši. It is a mountain drive, so check road limits, your car type and the weather first.
The road can have seasonal limits on buses, minibuses and campers. Check the rules for your travel date before you set off.
The road has had daily closure windows before. Do not rely on old hours; check the current arrangements for your day out.
Road rules can treat a minibus differently from a car. If you rent a van or minivan, ask the company how it is classed first.
Traffic above Kotor is much heavier in summer than in winter. Allow extra time for traffic and stops on the way up.
The M-1 towards the Tivat junction is busy too. If your drive ends at a pickup or return appointment, allow time for that last stretch.
Yes, selected cars picked up at Tivat or Podgorica Airport can be returned in Kotor. Choose both places when you book.

Book your Kotor return together with your airport pickup.
From Tivat Airport, you can return at the Bus Terminal or an address, and charges vary. Podgorica pickups can end at an agreed place in Kotor. A return to another airport needs its own quote.
Bring the car back with the fuel level you started with, clean enough to inspect. Missing fuel and needed cleaning are charged; you get nothing back for extra fuel.
The chart runs from November 2026 to October 2027, using week-long rentals. September and October show N/A as they have no prices yet.

You can still rent in Kotor in winter, at the Bus Terminal or by delivery. A month with no price does not mean there are no cars.
Think about whether you need the car for your whole stay or only for driving days. A town delivery can start on the day you need the car.
Each rental day lasts twenty-four hours, so even a few hours count as a full day. Enter your pickup and return times carefully.
Kotor has manual and automatic cars. Pick a gearbox you drive comfortably, then book child seats and any extra drivers.
Some cars offer boosters, infant seats and child seats as extras. Book what you need so it is ready at pickup.
Some cars let you add extra drivers. Name each driver in the booking and get the company’s approval first.
Check the child seat and how it is fitted before you leave pickup. Children need the right seat from the very first drive.
Each extra driver must meet the car’s age and experience rules. Get approval before swapping drivers; an automatic does not change this.
Every booking starts with Minimum cover and TPL. Extra protection differs between cars, so check the levels each one offers.
Standard cover leaves out the interior, windscreen, underside and wheels. Vandalism, deliberate damage and neglect are never covered, even on upgraded cover.
Some cars offer Minimum only, and some offer Basic and Full but not Plus. On some cars the deposit stays the same at every level.
On the example cars, Basic and Full have the same excess. A deposit and the excess are different things; you can owe for damage even with no deposit.
Report any incident to the company immediately and ask the police for a report, unless the company approves another process. Missing either voids the cover. Driving abroad needs a border package and advance notice to the company.
Read the Montenegro rental terms with your voucher before pickup.
Show your original licence at pickup, with Latin-letter entries and valid until you return the car. Digital licences and photocopies are not accepted.
With a domestic-only licence, carry an IDP too; it is strongly recommended. Pickup can be refused if you miss the car’s age or experience rules.
Plan inland trips around the car’s conditions and the weather.
Tell the company before you cross a border so the papers can be ready. Some cars offer a neighbouring-country extra that excludes Albania and Kosovo.
Choose cover for every country you will visit or pass through; a package without Albania cannot be used there. There is no one-way return abroad, so plan a round trip from Montenegro.
Standard cars need seven days’ notice to cancel, and luxury or convertible cars thirty. Some cars include a cancellation option with twenty-four hours’ notice.
Send the cancellation by email and attach your voucher. Any refund is due within fourteen days of your request, minus 6% for payment processing.
Change or cancel after the deadline and the advance is lost, as it is if you miss pickup without warning. To amend, cancel and rebook.
Perast and Prčanj have their own pickup options. Book with the town you want and agree the handover there; a Kotor delivery does not cover them.
It depends on the car. Some Kotor cars have no mileage limit, while others set a daily kilometre allowance, so check before planning long trips.
Small pets can travel if a carrier holds them on every journey, including short trips from your accommodation.
Ask the company for more time before your original return. It must confirm the change; keeping the car longer does not extend the booking by itself.
If a breakdown or force majeure means your car cannot be supplied, you get a car of the same class or better. Your price and terms stay the same.
Pick terminal pickup or delivery, compare payment and cover, and book the car that fits your trip around the bay.
