Car rental in Dubai without a credit card

Car rental in the UAE where many cars skip the credit card: collect at a Dubai or Abu Dhabi airport, or get delivery, and pay cash or debit where allowed.

Dubai car rental deals without credit

Airport and city handovers

Dubai also has office pickup and delivery to an address. Check where your car can go, and any charge to bring it.

Choose a payment arrangement you can meet

Online reservation

UAE bookings take a 15 to 20% advance on the rent; the agent collects the rest at pickup. The no-credit filter does not remove it.

Cash or card

Balance methods differ between Dubai offers: some take cash or cards, some cards only. No credit rule does not promise cash payment.

Debit conditions

Where debit is allowed, only the main driver’s own physical, embossed card works. Dubai companies can limit networks; check yours against the quote.

Handover costs

Airport pickup and delivery can carry their own charges in the total. Set real pickup and return points; transport is not always free.

Security and its return timetable

A held sum can remain

Dubai cars with no credit rule can still hold a deposit. The car states the sum and methods, which can differ from balance methods.

Thirty-day return

UAE terms return a deposit thirty days after the car comes back, minus any reported fines, tolls and admin costs. Plan for that wait.

Insurance for a Dubai hire car

Minimum cover is standard; then compare the damage share left on each higher level for your car.

Minimum coverageIncluded as standard
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Damage to your hire car (not included)
Basic coverage
  • Limited collision cover (CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Glass and tyre damage (not included)
Full Coverage
  • Limited driver liability (Super CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
Full Coverage Plus
  • Full damage cover (included)
  • No driver liability for accident damage (included)
  • Basic brings CDW with an excess set per car. UAE standard insurance leaves out wheels, interior, undercarriage and windscreen; read the exclusions, not just the name.
  • Full Coverage brings Super CDW; the excess may fall by hundreds of euros or stay the same. The deposit secures the car, while the excess sets what damage costs you.
  • UAE cars price Full Coverage Plus individually; it clears what you would owe for accident damage. On certain Dubai cars it also takes the deposit to zero.
  • Vandalism and neglect void the insurance. UAE rentals may not cross borders or leave paved public roads, even for a short unpaved track.
Incident reporting

Tell the Dubai company without delay after an insured event, and obtain police documents unless the agent allows an exception. If not, the cover fails and the renter pays.

When a physical card is specified

Read the voucher

UAE terms let some offers require a credit card, physical and embossed, belonging to the main driver. If you cannot meet that, pick another car.

Avoid assumptions

Debit-friendly does not mean cash is taken, and a car holding nothing may still list card methods. Read the pickup payment lines; ask if unclear.

Finding an eligible Dubai vehicle

  1. Describe your trip

Pick the UAE city and exact pickup spot. Enter pickup and return times, plus the driver’s age and licence experience.

  2. Check the payment lines

Use the No credit card option and open a car to see its payment methods. Compare deposit and cover before booking.

  3. Keep the confirmation

Your booking email names the rental company. Use its contacts to settle handover details and car questions.

Choosing between the two filters

Without credit

This is about which card the driver shows at a UAE pickup. A deposit may still apply; cash or debit work only where offered.

Without a deposit

This concerns money held, not payment. Dubai has cars at zero deposit and others whose deposit changes with cover, so check both.

Questions before your UAE journey

Which driving documents do I need at pickup?

Your original national licence plus its International Driving Permit, both in force to the last hire day. UAE terms require both and refuse photocopies or electronic versions.

Do these Dubai cars have unlimited mileage?

Not always. Some offers set a daily or total limit with a charge for extra kilometres; others have none. Check the final quote and any mileage extra. Caps matter on long drives, such as Dubai International to Abu Dhabi Airport, about 128 km each way.

How much notice should I give to cancel?

Standard cars: 7 days. Convertible and luxury: 30. Add the cancellation option and any car needs only 24 hours. An unagreed no-show or a late change or cancellation forfeits the advance. UAE refunds come within 14 days, minus 6%.

Who covers Salik and Darb charges?

You do: Salik and Darb tolls, plus fuel, parking and fines. Reported tolls and fines can come out of a deposit with admin costs; with no deposit, ask how they are settled.

Can a driver qualify on the rules of a similar model?

No. Each UAE offer sets its own qualifying age and experience, and similar cars can differ. Search with the real driver’s details, or pickup may be refused.
