Car hire in Kemer

Kemer car rental comes to you: local companies deliver to your hotel or apartment, with deposit and card rules shown on every car.

Low-cost car rental in Kemer

From small cars to vans

Kemer cars are rented under the same conditions as the rest of Turkey.

Starting prices per class come from the same week as the deals, with delivery in. Half of the cars are dearer than €56 a day.

How is a Kemer rental handed over?

By delivery. You give an address when booking and the company drives the car there for the start time you set.

To your Kemer address

Enter the hotel, apartment or villa where you are staying. The car is handed over there, and you choose the return place in the same booking.

Landing at Antalya

Antalya Airport is roughly 55 min from Kemer by road. Book the Antalya search instead if you want to drive straight from the airport.

Checking the car

Look over the car with the person delivering it before they leave. Photograph scratches and dents, and note the fuel level.

Landing at Antalya? The same companies hand cars over at the airport, often for less than delivery to Kemer, so price both.

Do Kemer rentals need a deposit?

Not all of them. Many cars hold a deposit, some hold none, and each offer shows the amount and how to pay it.

Zero depositOffered on some Kemer cars
No credit cardOn nearly every car
Cash acceptedFor some deposits
Small advance15 to 20% when booking

Card and deposit rules differ. Some cars need a credit card even with no deposit; some need no card but hold one. Check both lines before you book.

Delivery is in the balance. The advance is taken on the rental price only. What remains, delivery to Kemer included, is paid to the company when the car arrives.

Some cars hold nothing from the start, and with others car rental in Turkey with no deposit comes from choosing the top cover level, where the deposit falls to zero.

Only a debit card or cash with you? Among the cars in Turkey that need no credit card, some accept a cash or debit-card deposit.

How far can you drive from Kemer in a day?

Costs that are yours on the road

Fuel, parking, fines and any tolls are paid by the renter, on top of the rental price.

  • When the company is told a toll road was used, it deducts the toll from your deposit, plus a fee for paying it on the government site.
  • Pay any traffic fine promptly: fines are settled at banks, tax offices or the post office, never in cash to an officer.

Driving safely around Kemer

Four things to know before your first drive out of town.

Wildfire risk

Wildfires are frequent in Turkey in summer. Never drop a cigarette or light a fire near dry ground, and report any fire on 112.

After heavy rain

Severe storms can flood roads and set off landslides. Follow closures and police instructions even if your map still shows the road open.

Kit in the car

Turkish rules require cars to carry two warning triangles and a fire extinguisher. Ask to see them at the handover.

Speed limits

Towns are 50 km/h, two-way roads 90 and divided roads 110, with motorways signed between 120 and 140. Posted signs always win.

Can you drop the car off elsewhere?

Yes: a Kemer rental can end in Antalya, Alanya or Dalaman. Choose the return town when searching and every price includes the drop-off charge.

  • The charges built into a one-way price vary a lot between cars on the same trip, so compare totals rather than day rates.

Can a Kemer car leave Turkey?

Turkish rentals may not be driven across any border, and there is no extra that allows it.

Kemer prices by month

The lowest day rate for a seven-day rental starting on the 15th, with delivery to Kemer in the price.

Kemer, week-long hires from the 15th, November 2026 to October 2027. Search your dates for the current figure.

Starting prices are highest in July and August and lowest in February. N/A marks months with no cars listed yet, so search again nearer the date.

Gearbox, seats and extras

Kemer offers manual and automatic cars, plus seven, eight and nine-seaters for bigger parties.

Manual or automatic

Automatics are the larger share of Kemer cars, and manuals are there too. Rely on the gearbox line on each offer, not on the photo.

Seats and bags

For six or more travellers, compare the seven to nine-seat options. A full car can leave little room for luggage, so check the boot.

Child seats

Some cars offer infant seats, child seats and boosters as extras. Book one per child and look for them on your voucher.

Extra driver

A second driver can be added on cars with that option. Each driver must meet the car’s own age and licence rules.

Car hire insurance for Kemer

Minimum cover is third-party liability only. Each car lists the higher levels it offers and their prices.

Minimum coverageIncluded as standard
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Damage to your hire car (not included)
Basic coverage
  • Limited collision cover (CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Glass and tyre damage (not included)
Full Coverage
  • Limited driver liability (Super CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
Full Coverage Plus
  • Full damage cover (included)
  • No driver liability for accident damage (included)

Not covered as standard. Wheels, undercarriage, windscreen and interior fall outside standard cover. Deliberate damage caused by vandalism or neglect makes the insurance invalid.

Lowering your share. Full Coverage comes with Super CDW, but the excess can stay where it was. Full Coverage Plus, where a car has it, can reduce the excess to nothing.

Watch the deposit too. Some cars cut the deposit to nothing at the top level, while others keep the same deposit at every level.

Report straight away. After an accident or other insured event, call the company and get a police report unless it agrees otherwise. Without both, the cover is cancelled.

Compare the cover levels on your chosen car before you pay the advance.

Which documents does the driver need?

An original licence, the voucher and whatever payment the car lists. Keep them ready for the handover.

Driving licence

Bring the original national licence with details in Latin script, valid to the end of the rental. Copies and electronic licences are refused.

IDP and age

An International Driving Permit is strongly advised for licences valid only at home. Minimum age and licence years vary from car to car.

Road and fuel conditions

Two conditions apply to every car.

Sealed roads

  • Only paved public roads are allowed. Dirt tracks into the hills or down to a cove are off limits, whatever the map suggests.

Fuel level

  • Hand the car back with as much fuel as it had. A lower level is charged at the company’s rate; a fuller tank is not refunded.

Cancelling a Kemer reservation

When to cancel

Cancel without penalty up to a week ahead for standard cars and thirty days ahead for luxury cars or convertibles. With the free-cancellation option, 24 hours before delivery is enough.

How the refund works

Email the voucher to cancel in time and the advance returns within fourteen days of your request, minus a 6% payment fee. A late cancellation, or a no-show without notice, loses it.

Kemer car rental questions

Is a Kemer rental charged by the hour?

The minimum charge is a full 24-hour day, so a rental of one day and a few hours is billed as two.

Can I add days during my Kemer stay?

Ask the company in advance, before the agreed return time, as the terms require. Its phone number is in your booking email.

Will I get the exact car shown?

Only on a guaranteed model. A car marked “or similar” can be replaced by a comparable model in the same class.

What happens if the car cannot be supplied?

After a breakdown or force majeure, the company must offer a car of the same or higher class at your booked price and terms.

Does my phone need to work before the rental car is delivered?

Yes. The number you give must be reachable from the day before delivery until the car is returned, including by WhatsApp or Viber.
