The six cheapest this week are all airport pickups; office pickup is in the search as well. Each car’s deposit is shown beside its price.

Explore Athens optionsTiles show the cheapest car in each class for the same week as the deals; a typical car here costs about €30 a day, counting airport and office cars. Check each car’s pickup place, seats and gearbox before you book.
Pick up at Athens Airport (ATH), also called Eleftherios Venizelos, or at a rental office. Your voucher names the company and explains how pickup works.
Follow the pickup steps on your voucher and save the company’s number. Allow time for bags and paperwork.
Your voucher gives the office address and directions. The label alone does not say which area it is in.
Kallithea, Piraeus Port and city delivery are in the menu, but these cars start at Athens Airport or an office.
Keep the phone number you booked with switched on from the day before pickup until you return the car, with the country code included.
Landing late? At three in the morning, some cars for car rental at Athens Airport can be collected, some cost extra and some are not available. If you pick up at an office the next day, you need your own way there from the airport.
Some airport cars need a credit card and some do not. Office cars need no credit card, but not every office deposit can be paid in cash.
Check the deposit method. Some office cars take the deposit on a debit or credit card, while the rest of the bill can be paid in cash or by card. Some airport cars also take a cash deposit.
Bring the required physical card. Where a credit card is required, bring a physical embossed card in the main driver’s name. If debit is accepted, the debit card must be the same: physical, embossed and in that driver’s name.
No deposit and no credit card are different things: an office car can skip the credit card but still take a deposit on a debit card. You pay 15 to 20% when you book and the rest at pickup.
Your voucher explains when the deposit is released. Your card issuer may not free the money on the day you return the car.
Times start at Athens Airport in clear traffic, without stops. The Athens time is to Syntagma Square, not from a hotel or the office.

Rafina port is 20.8 km from the airport, about 35 minutes, and Lavrio port is 37.7 km, about 45 minutes. These are different ports, so check where your ferry leaves from.
Longer drives from the airport: Epidaurus and Patras each take about 2 h 45 min, Kalamata about 3 h 15 min and Ancient Olympia about 4 h 15 min. Add breaks and the drive back.
Some airport and office cars allow 100 km a day, or 700 km for a week. Check the mileage limit before planning several long day trips.
Check city parking before you arrive. At the airport, the car goes back to the point given on your voucher.
Tell the company if you are running late, and leave time for the car check before your flight.
Attiki Odos is the usual toll motorway into the centre. You pay once as you join; allow extra time for the city streets at the end.
Attiki Odos charges one toll at entry, set by vehicle category. Staffed lanes take cash and bank cards, but not Diners or American Express.
Cameras in Attica watch for bus-lane offences, and fines are the renter’s to pay. Bus lanes are for buses and trolleybuses only, so stay out of them even in a queue.
Syntagma, Piraeus, Corinth and Delphi are reached by motorway from the airport. Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Lavrio and Cape Sounion use other coastal or port roads, so plan for your actual destination.
Ask your hotel about the last streets to its door and follow the signs. Do not assume a rental car or a fuel type is exempt from access limits.
Greek motorway tags work across networks, but another network’s toll booth cannot top up your account. Ask whether your car has a tag and how it is billed. With roof boxes or bikes, use a staffed lane.
Attiki Odos roadside assistance runs around the clock on 1024, at your normal call rate. Call the rental company about the car itself, and 112 in an emergency.
Some Athens Airport cars can end in Thessaloniki, at the airport or in the city, and some at Kalamata Airport. Choose your drop-off first.

Car hire in Thessaloniki →
Some cars end here; Kalamata is about 3 h 15 min away.
The time runs to Thessaloniki Airport; check your exact return point.
The one-way price includes the return charge; you pay fuel, tolls and parking. Car rental in Thessaloniki works the other way round, ending in Athens.
Taking the car on a ferry to an island needs approval from customer support before you book, and a ferry ticket alone does not give it. Car hire in Rhodes is a separate booking on the island.
Lowest daily prices, November 2026 to October 2027, for a week from the 15th, airport and office combined. Enter your dates for a real price.
Lowest daily prices for airport and office cars; N/A means no cars are listed yet for that month. Extras and cover change the final price.
If you pick up at an office after your flight, add the cost of getting there. Compare the full quote with extras and cover included.
Rentals are charged in 24-hour days, and any extra part of a day costs a full day, so enter your real return time.
Athens has manual and automatic cars, and larger vehicles seat up to nine. Choose your gearbox and check the seats before adding child seats.
For seven or nine-seat cars, check the luggage space as well as the seats. Choose the gearbox separately; a bigger car is not always automatic.
Some cars offer baby seats, boosters and other child seats. Add the seats you need and any extra driver before you pay; prices vary by car.
Airport automatics are not only premium cars and vans. Check the gearbox on each offer; a bigger class does not guarantee an automatic.
Bring documents for every driver and check the child seats at pickup. If you change your booking, make sure the new one still has your extras.
Minimum cover (TPL) comes with every booking. Higher levels cover damage to the rental car; each car sets its own exclusions and excess.
What standard cover leaves out. The windscreen, interior, wheels and underside are not covered. No level covers neglect, vandalism or deliberate damage.
Top level on some cars. Some Athens cars offer Full Coverage Plus, priced per car, with no excess for accident damage within its terms.
Deposit and cover. On some cars Full Coverage lowers the deposit; on others the deposit stays the same at every level.
After an accident. Tell the company at once and get a police report, unless it agrees another way. Skipping this cancels your cover and leaves you liable.
Your own car insurance does not replace the rental company’s cover. Theft cover and personal accident cover may be extra, and the excess on each cover level shows on the car before you pay.
Check the car’s driver rules before you pay. The company can refuse pickup if the driver does not meet its document, age or experience rules.
Bring your original licence, valid until return; no copies or digital licences. Carry an International Driving Permit too, as some companies refuse pickup without one.
Some Athens cars need drivers aged 23, others 25, with one to three years of licence history. Check the rules on the car you choose.
The Greek rental conditions set the licence and permit rules for every car.
A few simple rules for driving your rental around Athens and the mainland.
Follow speed limits and local warnings, especially in wildfire season.
Return the car with the same fuel as at pickup: missing fuel is charged at the company’s rate and extra fuel is not refunded. You may pay for washing if dirt stops the inspection.
Your Athens rental must stay in Greece. You cannot take the car across any border, however close the next country looks.
For Albania, North Macedonia, Bulgaria or Turkey, book a separate rental; extra insurance cannot allow the crossing. A one-way within Greece and an approved ferry are separate permissions, while a border crossing is ruled out by the Greek rental terms.
You normally need to cancel seven days ahead, or thirty days for a convertible or luxury car. The optional cancellation extra cuts this to 24 hours.
Email customer support with your voucher attached. Refunds normally go back to the account you paid from within fourteen days of your request, minus 6% for payment processing.
You lose the advance if you miss pickup without telling the company, or cancel or change too late. To change a booking, cancel it and book again.
Yes, search for Piraeus as a separate destination. It has port and city delivery cars, with the delivery charge in the price. An Athens airport or office booking cannot start in Piraeus.
Ask the company to approve extra time before your rental ends. A delayed flight or a change of plan does not extend it on its own.
If force majeure or a breakdown stops the company supplying your car, it must give you one of the same class or better, at the same price and terms. Arrange it through the contact on your confirmation.
Only small pets, and they must stay in a carrier for the whole drive, even a short airport transfer.
Yes. You or the company can cancel within one day of confirming and paying the advance, as long as the other side is told before pickup. Payment-processing costs are still kept from the refund.
Choose the airport or office, set your return and compare payment, mileage and cover before you book.
