Car hire in Limassol

Get a rental car brought to your Limassol address, often with no delivery fee. Pick from zero-deposit and credit-card-free offers, with cover levels on view before you book.

Cheap car hire with Limassol delivery

Totals include delivery and collection, with any delivery charge already added. Most cars start with Minimum cover and some include Basic, so compare cover too.

Pick the space you need for the coastal stay

Tiles show the cheapest car in each class for the same week as the deals; a typical car here costs about €54 a day.

Most cars shown seat five, some four. Check the boot with everyone seated, and check the gearbox. These prices are for Limassol delivery only, including any delivery charges.

Where do you receive a delivered car in Limassol?

Agree your address and meeting point with the company. Delivery does not mean a fixed marina desk or a handover anywhere on the waterfront.

Set the address

Give your accommodation and entrance details. Check the company can stop legally there to hand over the car.

Keep in contact

Use a number you can answer, with the country code. If plans change, tell the company and reconfirm the time.

Check the car

Check the condition record, fuel and extras at delivery. Confirm the return place and method before the driver leaves.

If a car charges for delivery and collection, that charge is in the total. Other cars have no delivery charge, but this varies by quote.

Want a car when you land? Compare Larnaca Airport pickup and Paphos Airport pickup. Limassol delivery does not include transport from either airport.

How do zero-deposit and zero-liability choices differ?

Some cars have no deposit but keep a damage contribution under Basic. On some, paid Plus clears both; on others, Full clears the contribution only.

Look at the payment methods for both the rental and the deposit. Any credit card asked for must be the main driver’s own embossed physical card; a debit card needs the same and must be approved in the booking and voucher.

Paying 15 to 20% of the hire cost upfront books the car. Delivery may be in the total without counting towards that. The six featured cars suit car rental in Cyprus without a credit card; check the rule on the car you book.

The Limassol time ends at the Old Port, not your hotel. Add time for traffic, the airport and meeting the company. These times do not start from your Limassol address.

Staying in Paphos? It has its own delivery option, so compare prices from the right starting place.

Check parking before the delivery arrives

Ask your accommodation about parking and follow the signs where you stop. Delivery does not include overnight parking.

Double yellow lines rule out parking and waiting, and single yellow lines are only for loading and unloading. In a car park, check how to pay; an app may not work.

Stay on paved public roads. Blue Lagoon, Akamas Reserve, Baths of Adonis waterfall, Lara Bay turtle beach, Avakas Gorge and Kavo Gkreko National Park are off limits, with all their access roads. An SUV or extra cover does not change this.

Get comfortable with left-hand traffic

Check the car’s controls at your property before you set off. The steering side and gearbox matter more than the photo.

Know the driving layout

Drive on the left; most rental cars have right-hand steering. Make sure every approved driver knows the car before taking a turn.

Use the signed speed

The limit is normally 50 km/h in built-up areas and 80 km/h on other roads. On motorways it is 65 to 100 km/h. Posted signs always come first.

Set navigation safely

You cannot hold a phone while driving. Set your route while parked and use hands-free if you need to.

Report any incident

Call 112 in an emergency. Tell your agent straight away about an insured incident, and get a police report unless the agent says otherwise.

Can a Limassol rental finish at an airport?

Some cars allow Limassol delivery with a return at Larnaca or Paphos Airport. Choose your return place so the quote includes it.

Name the airport

Choose Larnaca Airport or Paphos Airport as the return place, not town delivery. Check the full price again after changing it.

Follow the directions

Get the company’s meeting directions and return contact. Its return point may not be the public passenger pickup area.

Plan the final journey

Allow time for fuel, the return check and the airport after driving from your property. Ask the company before changing plans.

Do not reverse the airport drive times to plan your return. Your address, traffic and the agreed return time decide your last day. Staying in the capital instead? Nicosia is about 45 minutes from Larnaca Airport, and car rental in Nicosia offers delivery.

Limassol delivery prices through the months

Each bar is the lowest day rate for a seven-day hire with city delivery and collection. Delivery charges are already included.

Months with no city delivery cars listed show N/A.

The minimum charge is twenty-four hours, and going beyond a full day adds another day’s rate. Check your times and get a new quote if you change cover or extras.

Check the passenger and driver arrangements

Choose a car for your group, luggage and equipment. Confirm what you need before the delivery.

Match the seats

Five seats on most cars, four on some. Count every child and check the boot with those seats in use.

Reserve restraints

Book the right child seats and check them at handover. Seat belts and suitable child seats are needed from the first trip.

Approve extra drivers

Add each extra driver to the agreement. Check their age and licence history meet the car’s rules before they drive.

Contain small pets

Small pets are allowed in a travel carrier. Allow for the carrier in the luggage space, without taking a passenger seat.

Protection upgrades affect these cars differently

Check the cover included and what each upgrade changes. A higher level does not always remove both the deposit and the contribution.

Minimum coverageIncluded as standard
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Damage to your hire car (not included)
Basic coverage
  • Limited collision cover (CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Glass and tyre damage (not included)
Full Coverage
  • Limited driver liability (Super CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
Full Coverage Plus
  • Full damage cover (included)
  • No driver liability for accident damage (included)

Plus can clear both figures. On some cars that start with Minimum, paid Plus removes the deposit and liability. Their Full option lowers one or both figures without clearing them.

Some upgrades only lower the figures. On some TPL cars, paid Basic leaves the deposit and contribution unchanged; on others, Basic and Full lower both, but not to zero.

Full may keep the deposit. On some cars with Basic included, paid Full removes the damage contribution but keeps the deposit, with no Plus option.

Cyprus car rental with no deposit is not full cover. A no-deposit car with Basic can still keep a damage contribution. Paid Plus clears it, and the deposit remains zero.

TPL gives no cover for damage to the hire car. Standard cover excludes the cabin, wheels, windscreen and underbody, and neglect or deliberate vandalism voids it. No level removes the road or area limits.

Have the original documents ready

Show your original national licence at the meeting, in Latin script and valid for your dates. Copies and digital versions are not accepted.

International permit

If your licence is only valid at home, you are strongly advised to add an IDP. Keep the original licence; the permit cannot replace it.

Driver eligibility

Check the minimum age and years licensed for your car before booking. These rules decide whether each driver qualifies.

In Cyprus a UK photocard licence is accepted, while a paper-only UK licence may need updating or an IDP.

Return fuel and condition as agreed

Get the car ready for the fuel and condition check at return.

Return fuel

  • Hand back the fuel level shown at handover. You pay the company’s rate for anything missing, and extra fuel is not refunded.

Return condition

  • If dirt gets in the way of the inspection, the wash is yours to pay.

Fuel, parking and fines are also on you. Contact the agent in advance to extend.

No trips into Northern Cyprus

You cannot take any Limassol car into Northern Cyprus.

Hire-car cover only works in the part of the island the Republic controls, and driving north is banned. Trips from Limassol to Eleftheria Square in Nicosia or to Ayia Napa stay inside the permitted driving area in Cyprus.

Cancellation notice and changing the hire

To change the dates or car, cancel this booking and make a new one.

Cancellation notice

Give a full week’s notice on ordinary bookings and thirty days on convertibles and luxury cars; some bookings allow twenty-four hours. A late cancellation, or a missed pickup you did not agree, loses the advance.

Refund request

Include your voucher in the cancellation request to support. An eligible refund of the advance takes up to fourteen days, less 6% of the advance for processing.

Limassol rental questions

Is delivery free on every example?

No. Some cars charge for delivery and collection, already in the total. Others have no delivery charge, but that will not apply to every car or time.

Can an upgrade bring the deposit to zero?

On some cars, yes. Paid Plus removes the deposit and damage contribution. Those cars start with Minimum cover, so the upgrade raises the total.

Does Full cover remove the deposit?

Not always. On some cars, Full removes the damage contribution but keeps the deposit. Check the two figures separately.

Can I return the car at either airport?

Some cars can be delivered in Limassol and returned at Larnaca Airport or Paphos Airport. Book the airport return and get the meeting directions.

Is the marina an automatic pickup point?

No. These cars are delivered to an address agreed with the company. There is no marina desk or open waterfront handover.
