Cheap car hire delivered in Ayia Napa

These prices include delivery and collection in the resort. Some start with Minimum cover, so check the cover as well as the deposit before choosing.

Manual or automatic: car sizes in Ayia Napa

Where will the company meet you in Ayia Napa?

Agree the delivery address and time with the company. There is no desk at your hotel, and the car cannot stop just anywhere outside.

Set the address

Give the property name and entrance details. Agree a good handover spot with the company and your accommodation before delivery.

Report delays

Tell the company if you are delayed and agree a new time. Keep the phone number on your booking switched on.

Inspect the car

Check the condition and fuel with the driver. Check your extras and return instructions before you set off, while you can still fix anything.

Need a car when you land? Choose Larnaca Airport pickup. Ayia Napa delivery starts at the resort and does not include an airport transfer.

All six prices include delivery and collection charges, which vary by car and company. A new place or time needs a new quote.

What does a no-deposit car include?

Some no-deposit cars come with Basic (CDW) and still carry an excess. That is not the same as a car with no excess.

Check how you can pay the rental and the deposit. If a credit card is needed, bring the main driver’s own card with embossed details. Debit has the same rules and only works where the booking and voucher allow it.

The advance is 15 to 20% of the rental. Delivery is in the total but may not count towards the advance.

How long is the journey from Larnaca Airport to Ayia Napa?

Ayia Napa is 55 kilometres from Larnaca Airport, about fifty minutes on clear roads. Every card starts at Larnaca Airport; allow extra time for the handover.

From Paphos Airport, Ayia Napa is 167.9 kilometres, allowing 135 minutes. With resort delivery, you need your own transfer from either airport.

Drive times end in the town centre, so your hotel may be a little further. Staying in Protaras? It has its own cars.

Kavo Gkreko and the named restricted roads

You cannot drive into Kavo Gkreko National Park or on its access roads, even though it is right next to the resort.

Akamas Reserve, Blue Lagoon, the Baths of Adonis waterfall, Avakas Gorge and Lara Bay turtle beach are also off-limits, with their access roads. Drive on paved public roads only; an SUV or extra cover does not change this.

On a single yellow line, stop only to load or unload; double yellow lines ban waiting and parking. Check parking at your accommodation separately from the delivery spot.

Your first drive from the resort

Cyprus drives on the left, so take time to get used to the car at handover. Set your directions before you drive off.

Learn the controls

Check the steering side and gearbox. Most cars are right-hand drive; you and any second driver should get used to the car you are given.

Follow local signs

The usual town limit is fifty, other roads eighty, and motorways 65 to 100 km/h. Follow any different signed limit.

Fit passenger restraints

Everyone needs a seat belt or a suitable child seat. Check the child seat at delivery, even before a short first drive.

Keep emergency details

Call 112 in an emergency. After an accident or damage, tell the company at once; you need a police report unless the company agrees otherwise.

Can the resort hire end at either airport?

Some cars can be delivered in Ayia Napa and returned at either airport. Choose your return place before you compare prices.

Pick the final airport

Choose Larnaca Airport or Paphos Airport as your return place, not town delivery. Check the place and time on the new quote.

Arrange the meeting

Get the company’s return instructions and phone number. The meeting point may differ from public parking or where the drive times end.

Leave a return margin

Allow time for fuel and the inspection before check-in. If your plans change, agree a new return time with the company.

The route cards show airport-to-resort drives. Plan the return from your own address, and treat those times as a guide only. Staying in town first? Car rental in Larnaca offers delivery, and the seafront is about 15 minutes from the airport.

Ayia Napa delivery prices by month

Each month uses a seven-day hire with resort delivery and collection. The chart shows the lowest daily price, including any delivery charge.

N/A means no resort delivery cars were listed for that month.

Search with your real handover times, extras and cover. The minimum charge is twenty-four hours, and each extra day you start is charged in full.

Make space for the whole travelling party

All six cars seat five, but seats are only part of the choice. Check extras, luggage and drivers before delivery.

Allow luggage space

Check the boot with every seat you need in use. Bulky bags or a pushchair may need a bigger car, even when everyone fits.

Arrange child equipment

Book a suitable child seat in advance and check it is there at handover. A seat count alone does not cover a child’s needs.

Register other drivers

A second driver must be added to the booking and meet the car’s age and licence rules before they drive.

Use carriers for pets

Small pets may travel only in a carrier, for the whole trip. Leave room for the carrier with your luggage.

Compare the included tier and any upgrade

Some cars start with Minimum cover and most include Basic. Upgrades differ by car, so not every level is offered on yours.

Minimum coverageIncluded as standard
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Damage to your hire car (not included)
Basic coverage
  • Limited collision cover (CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Glass and tyre damage (not included)
Full Coverage
  • Limited driver liability (Super CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
Full Coverage Plus
  • Full damage cover (included)
  • No driver liability for accident damage (included)

Upgrades can lower the figures. Some cars bring the deposit and excess down with paid Basic, and further with paid Full, but never to zero; there is no Plus.

Minimum (TPL) only at the start. On some cars, paid Basic and Full keep the same deposit and excess. The starting price does not cover damage to the car.

Basic included. On some cars, paid Full keeps the same deposit and excess. Check what it covers; Full does not always mean nothing to pay.

No deposit, but an excess. Some cars have no deposit and include Basic but keep an excess, with no Full or Plus option. You still pay towards accident damage.

None of these six cars offers Plus. Standard cover excludes the cabin, windscreen, wheels and underside. Neglect or deliberate vandalism voids it, and no cover lifts the road bans or allows travel to Northern Cyprus.

Licences to bring to the handover

Bring your original national licence, in Latin script and valid for every hire date. Copies and digital licences are not accepted.

International permit

An IDP is strongly recommended with a domestic-only licence. Bring your national licence too; the IDP does not replace it.

Driver eligibility

Every driver must meet the car’s minimum age and years licensed before they drive.

UK photocard licences work for car rental in Cyprus. Holders of a paper-only licence may need to update it or get an IDP.

Fuel and condition before the final handover

At the final handover, allow time for the fuel and condition checks.

Return fuel

  • Return the car with the fuel level recorded at pickup. Missing fuel is charged at the company’s price; extra fuel is not refunded.

Return condition

  • You pay for washing if the car is too dirty to inspect.

Fuel, parking and fines are yours to pay. Get the company’s approval before you keep the car longer.

The car cannot go into Northern Cyprus

You cannot drive this car into Northern Cyprus, so plan your day trips from Ayia Napa around that.

Returning at Larnaca Airport or Paphos Airport does not change where you can drive in Cyprus.

Cancelling or changing your booking

To change the car or dates, cancel and book again.

Cancellation notice

Standard cars need seven days’ notice and convertibles or luxury cars thirty; short-notice cancellation allows twenty-four hours. You lose the advance if you cancel late or miss pickup.

Refund request

Attach your voucher when you ask support to cancel. Refunds are paid within fourteen days, less 6% of the advance for processing.

Ayia Napa rental questions

Are the displayed totals just the vehicle price?

No. They include delivery and collection, which cost different amounts on different cars. Compare full prices when you look at companies or change places.

Are manual vehicles included in the examples?

Yes. The examples include both manual and automatic cars. Check the gearbox on the car you book.

Does a no-deposit car also have zero excess?

Not always. Some cars have no deposit but keep an excess under Basic, with no higher cover on offer.

Can a car delivered in Ayia Napa be returned at Paphos Airport?

Yes, on some cars. Choose Paphos Airport as your return place, then agree the airport meeting with the company.

Does an SUV allow driving into Kavo Gkreko?

No. You cannot drive into the park or on the roads leading to it. A bigger car or extra cover does not change that.
