Pick up at Istanbul Airport, Sabiha Gökçen, a city office or your address. Choose the airport your flight lands at.
Choose Istanbul Airport if you land there. Follow the company’s directions on your voucher to the meeting point.
Choose Sabiha Gökçen if you land there; it is a different airport. Tell the company your arrival time.
Give your full hotel or apartment address and access details, or pick up at the company’s office instead.
Atatürk (ISL) can also appear as a pickup place, but it is not Istanbul Airport or Sabiha Gökçen. Keep a phone with your country code reachable from the day before pickup, and send any flight or address changes to the company.
Some Istanbul cars need no credit card, others do. The deposit and the rent are paid separately, so check both on your car.
Card rules vary. Some cars need no credit card at pickup and take cash or card for the balance; others take the deposit on a credit card.
Before you arrive. Check the card rules for your car before you travel, even if you paid the advance another way. Age and licence rules also vary by car.
If the car needs a credit card, bring the main driver’s physical embossed card. Debit works only where the booking accepts it, and must also be physical, embossed and in their name.
You pay 15 to 20% of the rent when you book, then the rest plus any delivery charge at pickup. No deposit does not mean no rent or advance. Cars with no deposit are offered at Istanbul Airport and Sabiha Gökçen.
Check how you can pay the balance and the deposit, including cash. Choose a car that suits the card you have; don’t count on an exception at pickup. Both airports have cars that need no credit card.
Times assume clear roads and no stops. Traffic can add a lot, so leave extra time for hotels, appointments and flights.

Istanbul Airport to Sabiha Gökçen is 91.4 km, about 1 h 45 min before traffic or stops. Allow extra time for returning the car and reaching departures.
From Sabiha Gökçen, the D100 leads to Kadıköy, and the Eurasia Tunnel can take you on to Sultanahmet and Taksim. From Istanbul Airport, routes to the Asian side use the motorways and bridges.
Times end at the named square or district, not at your hotel door. Plan the last part from your street address.
Hotel delivery does not include parking, and the airport car parks are separate from the company’s return place.
Parking charges and fines during the rental are yours to pay, so keep any receipts.
Crossing between the European and Asian sides uses tolled bridges or the Eurasia Tunnel, paid electronically by HGS. Ask the company how it bills tolls.
The tunnel links Kumkapı on the European side with Koşuyolu on the Asian side. Only light vehicles up to 2.80 metres high may use it.
The limit is 70 km/h inside the tunnel and on its approaches. Lanes can close at busy times or after an incident, so follow the signs.
HGS tolls also apply on the Bosphorus bridges and the European and Anatolian motorways, so a drive across the city can cost tolls.
Tolls are yours to pay. If the company is billed, it can take the toll and an admin fee from your deposit. With no deposit, ask how it collects.
You can pay a missed crossing within fifteen days with no penalty. Up to forty-five days, an extra charge equal to the toll is added; after that, a penalty of four times the toll. Tell the company about any notice.
The company may get a toll bill after you have left Istanbul, so ask how it will tell you about later charges.
No barrier does not mean a crossing is paid. Ask the company how to handle HGS before your first cross-city drive.
Yes, some rentals start in Istanbul and end in Antalya, including Antalya Airport. The return charge is already in the price.

Car hire in Antalya →
Choose your Istanbul start and Antalya return place when you search.
An Antalya city return is not an Antalya Airport return, and changes need the company’s agreement.
Return with the same fuel level; missing fuel is charged and extra is not refunded. If dirt stops the car check, you pay for washing.
Typical daily prices for week-long hires from the 15th of each month. Prices for other lengths or pickup places can differ.
Istanbul prices, November 2026 to October 2027, for week-long hires from the 15th. N/A means no price that month.
Daily prices include any delivery charge. An office, either airport and your hotel can each have different handover costs, so compare like with like.
Some office and Istanbul Airport offers have no delivery charge; car rental at Sabiha Gökçen Airport and address delivery can cost extra. Price the full booking for your pickup place.
You pay for at least 24 hours. Monday morning to Tuesday afternoon costs two days, so plan pickup and return times around your driving.
Istanbul has manual and automatic cars, from small cars to larger group vehicles. Match seats, child seats and drivers to your trip.
Some cars offer baby seats, boosters and child seats as extras. Add the right one to your booking and confirm it with the company.
Add a second driver where offered. The car sets the price and the age and experience rules, and every driver must meet them.
Filter for automatic and check the gearbox on the offer. A model name does not tell you, especially if a similar car may be supplied.
With seven, eight or nine seats, check how much room is left for bags. At the airport, all your luggage goes in at once.
Every booking includes Minimum cover for third-party liability. Higher levels, their price and your damage liability vary by car.
Check what is excluded. Standard cover leaves out wheels, cabin, windscreen and underside, and Basic CDW does not cover glass or tyres. Neglect, vandalism and deliberate damage void the cover.
Compare the levels offered. Plus, on some cars, removes your liability for accidental damage. Full’s Super CDW can cut your share by hundreds of euros, or leave it the same.
Check the deposit separately. On some cars the deposit drops with Full cover; on others it stays the same, or there is none. A deposit is not the same as your damage excess.
Report damage at once. Tell the company straight away and get a police report unless it agrees otherwise. If you don’t, the cover is void and you pay the whole loss.
Each Istanbul booking shows its own damage cover and excess.
Bring your original national licence in Latin letters, valid for every day of the hire. Copies and digital versions won’t do.
Age and experience rules are set per car. If your licence is valid only at home, an IDP is strongly advised; show it if asked.
Drivers with a UK licence have extra permit rules in Turkey.
Planning an inland trip in winter? Some cars offer winter equipment, so check what a Winter Pack includes; winter-tyre rules differ by province.
You cannot take a Turkish hire car across the border, so no driving trips from Istanbul into Bulgaria or Greece.
One-way returns to Sofia or Thessaloniki are not offered. Extra cover does not change this Turkish rental rule.
Cancel at least seven days before pickup on normal bookings, or thirty days for luxury models and convertibles. With the cancellation option, 24 hours’ notice is enough.
Email your cancellation with the voucher. Refunds go to the account you paid from and can take fourteen days; 6% of the advance is kept as a fee.
To change an Istanbul booking, cancel it and make a new one.
Late changes or cancellation, or not turning up without warning, lose the advance.
No. Tolls are taken by free-flow HGS portals, charged for each direction. There is no cash lane.
Ask the company before your rental ends. Keeping the car past the return time does not extend it.
If a breakdown or force majeure stops the company supplying it, it must give you a car in the same class or better, at the same price and terms.
Yes, small pets can travel if they stay in a carrier, not loose on the seats.
Not always. Some cars have a daily kilometre limit, so check the allowance before a long road trip.
Choose either airport or pickup in the city, compare payment and cover, then book the car that suits your trip.
