What should I arrange for a Menara Airport pickup?

Choose Marrakech Menara Airport (RAK) for airport pickup. Your company confirms where to meet you, and meeting points differ between companies.

Airport pickup

Have your voucher and the company’s number ready when you land. Follow the meeting instructions; they vary by company.

Late arrivals

Some Marrakech Airport cars charge out-of-hours fees. Enter your pickup and return times, and agree any time change with the company.

Delivered to you

Give your Marrakech address and agree where to meet. Airport pickup is priced separately, so search Marrakech Airport for that.

Some airport cars are delivered from elsewhere, not kept at the airport. Compare the full price for your meeting place.

Jemaa el-Fna is about 15 minutes from Marrakech Airport on a clear road. Allow time to find the company, check the car and sign the paperwork.

Can you rent a car in Marrakech without a deposit or credit card?

No deposit and no credit card are different things. Check the deposit, the balance and the accepted payment on your car.

Cash is not implied by a badge. Some cars accept cash for the deposit or balance; others need a card. Follow your car’s payment instructions for both.

An advance of 15 to 20% secures the booking, and the company takes the rest at pickup. Keep this apart from the deposit.

Where a credit card is required, the main driver shows their own physical card with their name embossed. Debit must be accepted on the voucher. A companion’s card will not do. Car hire in Morocco without a credit card is offered on some Marrakech cars.

Upgrading your cover may change the deposit and excess. Check the new cover, price and payment rules together, not just the lower deposit.

How far are the coast and Atlas destinations?

Times from Marrakech Airport assume clear roads, with no traffic, stops or toll queues. On mountain trips, check that every road to your stop is paved.

Imlil is 62.8 km from Marrakech Airport, about 90 minutes on a clear road. Setti Fatma in the Ourika valley is 72.6 km, also about 90 minutes. Check the road is paved before you go.

Ouzoud is 163.2 km from the airport, about 3 h 15 min to the viewpoint. Mountain drive times leave out stops, so do not build tight plans around them.

Much of the Agadir drive is on the A3 motorway, including a one-way car rental to Agadir.

Motorway tolls and parking during the stay

Motorways towards Agadir and Casablanca are tolled. The toll depends on your route and vehicle class.

  • Tolls can be paid with cash, bank cards, the ADM network card or Jawaz. Rental cars do not always have a Jawaz tag, so ask first.
  • Parking where you stay is separate from the rental meeting. Check your hotel’s instructions and the street signs.

The toll depends on the junctions you use and your vehicle class; the motorway operator ADM publishes its tariff tables.

You pay fuel, parking, fines and tolls. They are not part of the rental price, even on a no-deposit car.

At Marrakech Airport, follow the company’s return directions rather than leaving the car in an airport car park. Bring it back with the starting fuel level; a shortfall is charged and extra fuel is not repaid.

Plan allowed roads before choosing a vehicle

Rental cars must stay on paved public roads. An SUV or a mountain destination does not change this, so check the road to your stop.

Fuel stops on the A3

There are service areas on the A3 at Marrakech, Benguerir and Settat towards Casablanca. Check your fuel level before you leave.

Distance allowance

Check whether your car has a kilometre limit and what extra distance costs. Count the outward drive, return and local trips. A one-way fee does not lift the limit.

Motorway travel towards Agadir

The motorway to Agadir runs through a tunnel at Zaouiat Aït Mellal and over viaducts. Allow more time than the clear-road estimate.

Valley and mountain approaches

The roads to Imlil and Ourika are national and provincial roads. Check the last stretch and current conditions; a map route does not change the paved-road rule.

Contact the company if your plans change the route or the return; the rental conditions for car hire in Morocco still apply.

Return in another Moroccan city where offered

Some Marrakech cars can be returned in Agadir, Casablanca or Essaouira. Choose both cities and meeting places to see the full one-way price.

  • Delivery in a one-way price can cover the start, the finish or both, so read the full quote.
  • Essaouira returns are by city delivery, not at an airport. Confirm the return address before you plan your last day.

Some Marrakech Airport cars come from another base, so one-way prices vary. Compare full prices for the same dates and places. An Agadir or Casablanca airport return must be offered and booked; ask the company before changing it.

What does the Marrakech monthly chart compare?

Each bar is a typical daily price for seven days starting on the 15th, with any quoted delivery. Prices on your dates can differ.

The chart runs from November 2026 to October 2027. Search your own dates for current cars and prices.

Delivery can change the total a lot, even for airport cars. Compare the same pickup and return places rather than using the chart to choose.

Cars and conditions change from month to month. Check the gearbox, deposit and card rules on your own offer.

Match passenger capacity to the whole party

Some Marrakech cars seat seven or more. Check the seat layout and luggage space, as the seat count says nothing about bags.

Time for the group

Allow time for paperwork and bags before you set off. For delivery, agree the meeting point; it is separate from hotel check-in.

Transmission choice

Manual and automatic cars differ in price and availability. Check the gearbox on the actual car; a bigger class does not promise either.

Confirm essential space

Tell the company how many people and bags you have. If a similar car may be supplied, agree the space you need first.

Check the named driver

The pickup driver must meet the car’s age and licence rules and bring the right documents and payment.

Compare the insurance for your Marrakech offer

The basic level is third-party only; higher levels cover damage on some cars. Compare cover, exclusions, excess and deposit together.

Minimum coverageIncluded as standard
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Damage to your hire car (not included)
Basic coverage
  • Limited collision cover (CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
  • Glass and tyre damage (not included)
Full Coverage
  • Limited driver liability (Super CDW) (included)
  • Damage to other vehicles (TPL) (included)
Full Coverage Plus
  • Full damage cover (included)
  • No driver liability for accident damage (included)

Know the exclusions. Standard cover leaves out the underbody, interior, wheels and windscreen. Under Basic CDW, glass and tyres are excluded too.

Check each amount. Full gives Super CDW, and Plus removes your accident liability where offered. Check your car’s levels; the deposit is separate from the excess.

After an accident. Tell the company straight away and get police documents unless it agrees otherwise. Skipping this voids your cover and leaves you paying the whole loss.

Stay within the rules. Negligence, vandalism and deliberate damage void the cover. Driving abroad or on unpaved roads is not allowed.

The deposit and the accident excess are separate amounts, so check both after choosing cover.

Prepare the licence required for collection

The driver picking up the car brings the documents. The rules come from your chosen car and apply at pickup.

The national document

Show your original national driving licence, written in Latin characters and valid until the hire ends. Copies and digital versions do not count.

The eligible collecting driver

Each car sets its own minimum age and driving experience. Check the driver against your chosen car; another model may differ.

We strongly recommend an IDP if your licence is for domestic use only; show it when asked. Your voucher says which physical payment card to bring.

Rental hours and a working contact number

You are charged for the booked hours, and your phone number lets the company reach you. Agree changes while the hire is running.

Charged rental time

  • The minimum charge is a full day. Pick up in the morning and return after midday the next day, and you pay for two days.

Stay reachable

  • Use a number with the international prefix and keep it on from the day before pickup until the hire ends. Report any change of arrival time or address.

Ask for any extension while your hire is still running.

Keep the rental journey within Morocco

The car must stay in Morocco. A ferry to Spain counts as crossing a border and is not allowed, whatever car or cover you pick.

Return the car at an agreed place in Morocco before going abroad by other transport. A one-way to Agadir, Casablanca or Essaouira does not change this.

Cancellation timing depends on the reservation

Check the cancellation deadline in your booking before changing plans. The notice you give and the processing fee decide your refund.

Notice before collection

Standard bookings need 7 days’ notice; convertibles and luxury cars need 30. With the cancellation option, 24 hours is enough, but processing fees still apply.

Requesting the refund

Email your cancellation with the voucher attached. Refunds can take 14 days, minus a 6% processing fee. Late notice or a no-show without agreement loses your advance.

To change the booking, cancel it and make a new one.

Other Marrakech collection questions

Are airport cars always kept at Marrakech Airport?

No. Some airport cars are brought from another city, with that cost in the price. Compare the full airport price.

Does a no-deposit car always accept cash?

No. The deposit and the balance have separate rules. Check how your car’s balance can be paid and bring any required card.

Will a night arrival change the quote?

It can; some cars have an out-of-hours charge. Enter your real pickup and return times, and tell the company if they change.

Can I use a similar model instead of the pictured vehicle?

Each offer says whether a similar car may be supplied. If seats or gearbox matter, check this before booking; the photo is not a promise.

Can a small pet travel in the car?

Small pets can travel if kept in a carrier while driving. Return the car clean and undamaged so it can be inspected.
