Compare this classPrices on the tiles are the cheapest car per class in a separate search of the same week as the offers above, so an offer can be a little cheaper. A typical Tbilisi car costs more, around €53 a day.
Compare classes for the seats and gearbox you need. Some cars have four-wheel drive, but it does not allow off-road driving.
Pick up at the airport, at a rental office or have the car delivered to your address. Compare the total for the option you choose.
Choose the airport to pick up after your flight. Follow the meeting instructions on your voucher.
Give your Tbilisi address and the car comes to you. Ask your host where it can stop.
Choose an office offer and check its exact location in your booking details before you go.
Delivery charges to Tbilisi Airport or an address are included in the total, so changing the place can change the price.
Some cars can be picked up at night, with possible out-of-hours charges. Search your real times and tell the company if your flight changes.
Some Tbilisi cars need no credit card and some need no deposit. Check both, and how you can pay the rest.
Each car sets its own terms. Some airport cars need no deposit. Some office cars take cash for deposit and rent, and higher cover can remove the deposit.
Georgian companies price in US dollars, so euro amounts are converted. Check the currency and payment methods in your booking before pickup.
You pay 15 to 20% online, not counting delivery. At pickup you pay the rest and any delivery charge to the company.
If the car needs a credit card, the main driver brings their own, with their name embossed. Where debit is accepted, bring that physical card, also embossed with the driver’s details. Some Tbilisi cars accept debit card deposits instead.
Freedom Square is about 25 minutes from Tbilisi Airport without delays. All times start at the airport, not your accommodation.

Gudauri is 136.6 km away, about 2 h 30 min on clear roads, on the S3 that continues to Stepantsminda. Check road notices before you go, as mountain roads can close.
Kutaisi centre is 234.5 km from the airport, about three hours and fifteen minutes on the S1. Plan breaks and your return separately, especially if you fly home from another airport.
Tbilisi has a city parking service, and the airport has its own parking information. Ask your accommodation about overnight parking.
For delivery to your accommodation, ask your host for entrance and parking instructions and pass them to the company.
You pay for fuel, parking and any traffic fines. An open car park with no barrier is not always free.
Before your flight home, leave time to refuel and for the car check at the agreed return point. Do not leave the car in any public parking bay.
Mountain restrictions can close the S3 to Gudauri and Stepantsminda. Check road notices and the weather before you leave Tbilisi.
Check road notices for Gudauri to Kobi before you go. Reopenings can come with vehicle rules, and a drive time does not mean the road is open.
Some Tbilisi cars offer winter tyres and chains. Check what comes with your car; extras do not open a closed road or a banned region.
A road open on the way out may be restricted on your way back. Allow time to change plans if the notices require it.
Banned areas stay banned even when nearby main roads are open: Juta, Truso, Shatili, Tusheti, Omalo, Vashlovani, South Ossetia and Abkhazia. An off-road-looking car changes nothing.
The road from Mestia through Ushguli to Lentekhi needs the travel authorisation option and is allowed only from 1 May to 30 September. Ask in advance; a Tbilisi rental does not include it.
Current closures are on the Roads Department’s road restrictions page.
Some Tbilisi rentals can end in Kutaisi or Batumi. Enter the drop-off city when you search so the price includes it.

Car hire in Batumi →
Flying from Kutaisi? Pick its airport; the price includes the one-way charge.
A Kutaisi city drop-off is not an airport return, so choose Kutaisi Airport if you fly from there. The drive there from Tbilisi Airport is 256.2 kilometres, about three and a half hours before delays.
Batumi’s Europe Square is 373.1 kilometres from Tbilisi Airport, about five hours fifteen minutes via the S1, S12 and S2. Ask the company for the actual return address. Some cars also go one way back to Tbilisi.
Each bar is the lowest daily price on a seven-day rental from the 15th. Use it to compare months, then search your own dates.
November 2026 to October 2027. N/A: no cars listed yet for that month.
Office pickup, delivery and airport handover can cost different amounts on the same dates, and the daily price spreads any delivery charge over the rental.
Euro prices are converted from dollar quotes and can change with availability. Check your real dates and the final currency details before you book.
Some Tbilisi cars seat up to nine. Check the car’s details and your luggage before choosing a class.
With every seat full, luggage space can be tight. Tell the company about a larger group’s bags and check the actual layout.
Check the gearbox and driving-side badge where shown; steering side can differ. Add any winter or route extras you need.
Choose the main driver before airport pickup and check they qualify. Have their original documents and the right payment method ready.
Some Tbilisi cars have a daily kilometre limit. Check it for long trips or westbound returns; four-wheel drive does not change it.
Minimum cover is third-party only. Your car decides which extra levels you can add and how much damage you still pay.
What is excluded. Standard cover in Georgia leaves out the cabin, wheels, windscreen and underbody. Basic also excludes tyres and glass.
Cover levels. Full uses Super CDW terms, and Full Coverage Plus, where offered, removes your liability for accidental damage. Levels differ between Tbilisi cars.
Deposit and use. Upgrading cover can remove the deposit on some cars, but your damage liability depends on the level. Banned roads, neglect and vandalism are never covered.
After an accident. Tell the company straight away and get a police report, unless it agrees another way. If you skip these steps, you lose your cover.
Your deposit is separate from the car hire excess you pay towards damage.
Each car sets its own age and experience rules. Check your driver meets both; the same model can have different rules on another offer.
Bring your original national licence, in Latin script and valid for the whole rental. Copies and digital licences are not accepted.
Each car’s document rules come on top of Georgia’s road and licence rules.
If your licence is only valid at home, an International Driving Permit is strongly recommended; have it ready to show.
To extend, ask the company first so you can agree a new return time.
No, Georgian rental cars cannot leave the country. For Armenia, Azerbaijan or anywhere else, arrange separate transport.
Return the car in Georgia before any trip abroad. This applies whatever the deposit, car class or cover, and a one-way hire within Georgia is no exception under the rental terms.
Cancel at least seven days ahead for ordinary cars, or thirty for luxury cars and convertibles. The cancellation option cuts this to twenty-four hours; the processing fee remains.
Email your cancellation with the voucher attached. Refunds can take fourteen days, with 6% kept for processing. Late changes, late cancellation or a missed pickup you did not arrange lose the advance.
To change a booking, cancel it and book again within the cancellation deadlines.
No. You must stay on paved public roads and keep off the banned routes. Four-wheel drive or a bigger SUV does not change this, so check any sat nav shortcut first.
No. The Goderdzi Pass road from Akhaltsikhe to Batumi is banned, as is Sairme to Abastumani, even if your navigation app suggests them as shorter.
If a breakdown or force majeure stops supply, the company must give you a car of the same or a higher class at the same price and terms. Arrange it through the contact in your booking.
Yes, small pets can travel in a carrier. Keep the pet in it on every journey, even short city drives.
The rental company that supplies it. Its details are in your confirmation email; use them for questions about the car, the handover or the return.
