Check the gearbox, seats and luggage space on the car you pick before you book.
Pick up at the airport or a company office, or have the car delivered to your Batumi address. Choose the real pickup place when you search.
Choose Batumi International Airport, add your flight details and follow the company’s meeting directions.
Have the car brought to your Batumi address. Agree the exact meeting place with the company first.
Some Batumi cars start at a company office. Check its address on your booking before you go.
Some cars listed in the city can be delivered to Batumi Airport if you choose it when you search. Any delivery charge is in the quote and depends on the place. Leave time to inspect the car.
Some Batumi cars need no deposit and some need no credit card. These are separate: a car can take a cash deposit without being deposit-free.
Check each car. Some delivery cars take cash for the deposit and the balance, and some need drivers aged 21 or over with two years’ experience.
Companies price in US dollars, so the euro price and deposit shown can change with the exchange rate. Follow the payment instructions on your booking. Some Batumi cars hold only a low deposit.
You pay 15 to 20% of the hire charge online to book. The rest, plus any delivery charge, is paid at pickup.
If a credit card is needed, the main driver brings their own physical, embossed card. A debit card only works if your booking accepts it, and must also be physical and embossed. Office and delivery cars both include some that need no credit card.
Europe Square is about ten minutes from the airport on clear roads. For longer trips, add time for traffic, breaks and reaching your address.

Borjomi and Tbilisi are reached through Kutaisi. Do not take the Goderdzi Pass shortcut: rental cars are banned on it.
Mestia is approached via the Zugdidi area. Mountain roads can close, so check conditions before you set off.
Check parking with your accommodation before delivery. The company brings the car to you but does not arrange overnight parking.
Ask your host where the car can stay during your visit. The rental company may meet you outside but does not provide or manage guest parking.
Plan your return back from the agreed time. Allow for refuelling, meeting the company and the condition check, plus time for your flight if you fly from Batumi Airport.
Return the car with the fuel level you received. A shortfall is charged at the company’s rate and extra fuel is not refunded. Cleaning is charged if dirt stops a proper inspection.
Rental cars must stay on paved public roads, and some roads and regions are banned. Check your route before you book or set off.
The Akhaltsikhe to Batumi road over Goderdzi Pass is banned, even if your sat nav suggests it for Borjomi or eastern Georgia. A bigger car or extra cover changes nothing.
Mestia to Ushguli and on to Lentekhi needs the route option and advance notice to the company. It is allowed only from 1 May to 30 September.
The Sairme to Abastumani road is also banned, as are Shatili, Omalo, Tusheti, Vashlovani, Juta, Truso, Abkhazia and South Ossetia. No insurance applies on banned roads.
Some Batumi cars offer winter tyres and chains. Check your booking has them; the kit does not make a closed or banned road usable.
Mountain weather decides whether a trip works on the day. Drive times assume clear roads and do not mean a route is open in winter. The Georgia rental terms list every banned road and region.
Some Batumi cars can finish in Tbilisi. Choose Tbilisi as your return city when you search, so the car and price match.

Tbilisi city and airport returns differ; check which your booking shows.
Compare full prices, which include the one-way delivery charge.
Batumi Airport to Tbilisi Airport is 381.4 km, about 5 h 30 min without stops or traffic. Some cars from Kutaisi can also end in Batumi. Agree any change of return place with the company.
Each bar is the middle daily price of all Batumi cars on a seven-day hire from the 15th of the month. The cheapest cars cost far less, as the offers above show.
Hires from November 2026 to October 2027. N/A: no cars listed yet for that month.
A daily price can include a handover charge spread over the hire. Airport, office and delivery pickups can give different totals for similar dates, so compare like with like.
Companies price in dollars and the chart shows euros, so get your final quote close to booking. The chart is a guide, not a fixed monthly price.
Batumi has manual and automatic cars, and some seat up to nine. Choose a layout that fits your passengers and their bags.
Check the seats, gearbox and real luggage space on your car. Tell the company about large bags if every seat will be used.
Some Batumi cars offer winter kit and the Mestia route option. Ask for the extras you need; the car type alone gives no road permission.
For delivery, agree where your group and bags can wait during the paperwork. The main driver needs their original documents and the payment method.
A car fine for short Batumi trips may be too small for a full day towards Tbilisi. Compare its size with your group’s luggage.
Minimum cover is third-party liability only. Cover for the car itself depends on the levels each car offers, so compare before you upgrade.
What is excluded. Standard cover leaves out the interior, wheels, underbody and windscreen. Basic CDW also excludes tyres and glass, so read each level’s terms.
Cover levels. Batumi cars offer different levels. Full Coverage uses Super CDW, and Plus can remove your liability for accidental damage. Deposit and excess are separate figures.
Banned uses. Neglect and deliberate damage cancel your cover. Goderdzi and other banned routes are never insured, and the Mestia route needs its own option and dates.
After an incident. Call the company straight away and get a police report unless it agrees otherwise. Skip either and you lose cover and pay in full.
The same cover level name can come with a different deposit and conditions at another company, so check your Batumi offer.
Each car sets its own minimum age and driving experience. Check both for your Batumi car, as another model may have different rules.
Bring your original licence in Latin script, valid until return. Copies and digital licences are refused; an IDP is strongly recommended with a domestic-only licence.
Each car’s own checks come on top of Georgia’s national driving rules.
Keeping the car past the return time does not extend the hire; agree any change with the company.
No, the car cannot leave Georgia, including across the nearby Turkish border. Plan any trip abroad separately.
Sarpi, 13.2 km from the airport (about twenty minutes), is inside Georgia, so you can drive there, but the car cannot cross into Turkey. Return it first and make separate onward plans. No search filter or extra cover changes the rental terms.
Cancel at least seven days ahead, or thirty for luxury cars and convertibles. With the cancellation option, 24 hours’ notice is enough. Cancel late and you lose the advance.
Email the cancellation with your voucher attached. Refunds take up to 14 days, minus a 6% processing charge. Missing pickup without agreement also loses the advance.
To change a booking, cancel it and book again, within the Georgian cancellation deadlines.
Search with your real arrival and return times, then confirm the details with the company. An airport listing does not mean 24-hour service or a set night charge.
If a breakdown or force majeure stops your car being supplied, the company must give you one in the same class or higher, at the same price and terms.
Yes, if it stays in a carrier for the whole journey, even on short drives.
Ask the rental company that supplies the car. Its contact details come with your confirmation; keep them with you, especially when you leave Batumi.
Your voucher gives the meeting point and the company’s phone number. Choosing Batumi Airport does not mean one shared meeting place for every company, so follow your own company’s instructions and ask about anything missing before you land.
Set your dates and pickup place, check each car’s conditions, then choose a car for the coast or a permitted trip around Georgia.
